Karen Gabel Speroni, PhD, MHSA, BSN, RN
Dr. Speroni has more than 25 years of experience in biomedical research, including work with academic medical centers, pharmacoeconomic consulting, contract research organizations, Institutional Review Boards, and evidence-based practice research in hospitals. She is a research process and research infrastructure expert. Currently Dr. Speroni develops and sustains research programs at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health. She also teaches research methods for The George Washington University and serves as an Institutional Review Board scientist for Chesapeake Research Review, Inc., and Inova. In 2009, her childhood obesity research program, Kids Living Fit™, was profiled as an innovation of excellence by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and in 2011 Nurses Living Fit™ was added. She has authored numerous biomedical research manuscripts and abstracts and has presented her research findings nationally and internationally.
