In healthcare, the nurse is one of the most crucial members of the team. Whether in a higher acuity inpatient unit or a higher education academic program, nurses need to pursue leadership as an essential part of their practice. Leadership requires mastery of one’s self, communication, relationships and multiple ways of being, thinking, feeling and doing in order to transform problems into desired outcomes. The purpose of this webinar is to gain insight into essential principles of leadership and strategies for leadership development through dialogue and discovery with a nursing leader. A variety of tools and resources exist that support inner work and the development of personal mastery and leadership talent that leads to more intentional and meaningful service. Participants will be invited to listen, learn and create a plan to intentionally develop their leadership skill set.

  • Explore leadership principles that support professional development and mastery of a leadership skill set.
  • Create a personal leadership developmental learning plan based on shared references and resources.
