  • Presenters
Since the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Institute of Medicine released “The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health” in February 2011, nurse leaders in education, practice and regulation have explored how the report’s eight recommendations can be addressed throughout the nursing community. This webinar will focus on the response from nursing education and highlight the opportunities and challenges this transformative work has evoked.
Objectives
  • Briefly describe the backstory of the IOM report on the future of nursing.
  • List the eight recommendations of the report and identify key implications for the education of nurses.
  • Identify at least three strategies nurse educators can incorporate into the curriculum to support the IOM recommendations.
